Donate Empowering marginalized Girls Through Soccer: The Umran Soccer Team Initiative 

Introduction:

Umran is a non-profit organization dedicated to upskilling and supporting underprivileged people in society. We are pleased to introduce the Umran Soccer Team Initiative, a new program aimed at empowering girls in the Jaynagar community through sports.

Program Description:

The program will create two girls and boys football teams, Umran Pink and Umran Green, consisting of a total of 30 boys and girls, both privileged and underprivileged children. The initiative will be led by two experienced coaches, two referees, and two assistants to support the teams.

The Umran Soccer Team Initiative will engage children in physical activities and help develop teamwork, planning skills, and strategies to win both in personal and professional life. Our goal is to encourage girls to participate in other sports at school and district levels and help break the mindset barrier to participate in soccer, which is the world’s most recognized outdoor sport.

Program Goals:

1. To empower girls in the Jaynagar community through sports
2. To provide underprivileged children with the opportunity to develop teamwork, planning skills, and strategies to win in personal and professional life
3. To encourage girls to participate in sports at school and district levels
4. To break gender differentiation and enable girls to participate in education and sports
5. To increase confidence, psychological and physical development leading to a healthy mind and body.

Program Components:

The Umran Soccer Team Initiative will require sports wear, selection, promotion, and a venue. The total estimated cost of the program to initiate is 65,000 INR. We aim to engage many civilians in these activities to sponsor the game and bring drastic attention to sport to develop positive vibe in society.

The program will also include community and confidence development through the participation of community leaders, parents, and players who will represent the village in sports through participation in school and district competitions.

The Umran Soccer Team Initiative is an innovative approach to engage marginalized children and specially girls of Jaynagar village through sports. This program will open the scope of girls in sport as a career and promote women’s empowerment in the Jaynagar community. Our program will increase confidence, psychological and physical development leading to a healthy mind and body. We hope to encourage many civilians to participate in these activities and sponsor the game to bring drastic attention and change in society.
