Volunteer Terms and Conditions for Internship Program:
Please carefully review the following terms and conditions before participating in the volunteering program offered by Umran. By submitting your Online Registration Form and engaging in email communication with Umran, you confirm that you acknowledge and accept the following terms and conditions:
- Program Understanding: You confirm that you have thoroughly read and understood all the information available on our website regarding the aim of the project, activities, accommodation, costs, and terms of participation. You fully comprehend the nature of the volunteering program.
- Respect for Policies and Rules: You agree to respect the policies of the community and the rules of the host family where you will be staying. This includes returning to your accommodation before 10:00 p.m. if you venture out independently, respecting your host family members and the accommodation provided, and taking responsibility for any damages caused. The use of alcohol or smoking is strictly prohibited within the accommodation premises. If you choose to extend your stay beyond the program duration, additional accommodation costs may apply subject to availability. Leaving for a weekend or holiday during your placement will result in the cancellation of your internship.
- Accommodation and Meals: You will be provided with three meals a day (breakfast, lunch, and dinner), consisting of fresh homemade Indian vegetarian food. It is essential to respect the religious beliefs of the host family and refrain from bringing non-vegetarian food into the accommodation. Please note that the accommodation and meals provided will be basic in nature.
- Program Budget and Adaptability: All services offered within the program are budgeted, and the program relies on financial resources to support various aspects. If you have concerns regarding the accommodation, food, host family members, or location, it is important to ensure that you are willing and able to adapt to a different environment and learn from the experience.
- Transportation and Tours: Umran does not provide transportation services, and organized tours are not available. However, you are permitted to visit nearby communities if time permits, but it is mandatory to travel in groups and inform the organizer in advance.
- Travel Documentation: You must possess a valid identification card, and if you are a foreigner, a passport and visa for the entire duration of your travel. Obtaining an appropriate Indian visa is your sole responsibility, and Umran will not be liable in any case if you fail to adhere to visa rules or apply for the necessary visa.
- Health Considerations: Before your arrival, it is recommended to consult with your doctor regarding any necessary vaccinations for your travel to the program location.
- Insurance and Liability: The program fees do not cover any insurance or liability for you. It is your sole responsibility to arrange adequate insurance and liability coverage for the duration of your participation. This coverage may include, but is not limited to, light work, cancellation costs, medical expenses, legal liability, lost baggage, repatriation in the event of accident or illness, and personal injury liability. You are responsible for maintaining all necessary insurance documents as proof of coverage. Umran does not assume any responsibility for accidents, diseases, or encounters with animals during your participation in the program. We will not be liable for any damages resulting from your failure to obtain appropriate insurance coverage.
- Immediate Termination of Agreement: Umran reserves the right to immediately terminate your participation if it is found that you are not complying with the policies and rules set forth by the organization.
By participating in the internship program, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by the terms and conditions outlined above.
