- Our Mission
Impact through
Education
Umran SLY Library has been constructed in the Village of Jaynangar City, Madhubani district, with a focus on empowering marginalized children, especially girls, in the region. By bringing together privileged and underprivileged children in one location, the library aims to foster a sense of unity, growth, and positive culture among them.
The SLY Library will provide young people with a variety of opportunities to cultivate a positive outlook, particularly for girls and vulnerable children who are at risk of being left behind due to insufficient educational institutions, supervision, and cultural barriers. Therefore, we appeal to people to support this project so that it can be successfully executed.
Fundraising for Akaunha Village School and Community Center
The social system in a particular community in Bihar has resulted in extreme backwardness in education, economy, and awareness, posing a significant obstacle to the overall development of the state. With an estimated population of 119.46 million residents in 2021-22, more than 80% of the population is considered extremely uneducated, with only 30% of men and 7% of women in Schedule castes being literate.
As someone from Akaunha Village, which is located near Jaynager, I am acutely aware of this issue. The village is home to over 10,000 people, with a significant proportion belonging to scheduled castes. For generations, none of them have ever attended middle school due to poverty and a lack of awareness, leaving them vulnerable to exploitation and involvement in numerous illegal and criminal activities that hinder Bihar’s overall growth. This is a major problem that must be addressed.
