Structure of School of Language

Umran Green School manages the School of Language online. It presently has 15 foreign languages ranging from A1 to B2 and three  more languages have just been introduced. Our language schools proceed with a decentralised system where each language is treated as a distinct department with its own Head of Department. Academic staff refers to the department’s other instructors.

Decentralisation is done to honour the effort of each individual within the organisation and to make sure everyone gets the benefits from their work.

The Board of School: 

The Board of School will be the decision-making committee and it is almost a permanent body. All the decisions will be collectively and democratically taken and applied.  The Board of the School will appoint a Director and Deputy Director. The Board will also be in charge of beholding and promoting the values of the Umran Green Schools, approving the curriculum and the other education related issues,  and leading the department along with the other colleagues, communication with other schools, organisations, embassies for sponsors, encouraging peace, harmony, supporting the diversion of languages,  culture and prosperity through the Language Program. In any case, the decision of the Founder and Managing Director will be on top and considerable. 

Eligibility for the Board of School: Everyone who works with Umran Green School is considered as a potential for the Board of School.  People who are eligible to apply for the board of the schools are as follows:

1- Those who have been working with Umran Green Schools since the last one year.

2- Those who have been serving for Umran Green Schools as language Instructors for at least two semesters or as a Head of Department. 

However, the Board of the Foundation will give the final decision for the membership of the person applied for the position. The Founder and Managing Director can bring any change in the organisation if needed.

Director: The director is the Head of the School of Language, Umran Green School and functions as the Managing Director of the school. The Director must be serving Umran Green School for a minimum of one year and maximum of two years once he or she holds the position. The main duties of the director is promoting and leading the department along with colleagues,communication with other schools, organisations, embassies and other potential sources for sponsorship, collaboration, encouraging peace, harmony, promotion of language, culture and prosperity through the Language Program.

Eligibility for Director:  Everyone who works with Umran Green School is considered as a potential for the position of the Director of the School. 

People who are eligible to apply for the board of the schools are as follows:

1- The candidate must have been working with Umran for a minimum of a year in the management.

2-  The position will be rotational if there will be an eligible candidate to hold the position.   

Deputy Director: Deputy Director will be functioning the same as the director when/if the Director is unavailable to fulfil his/her duties. The Deputy Director must be serving Umran Green School for a minimum of one year and maximum of two years once he/she holds the position. The main duties of the Deputy Director director is promoting and leading the department along with colleagues, communication with other schools, organisations, embassies and other potential sources for sponsorship, collaboration, encouraging peace, harmony, promotion of language, culture and prosperity through the Language Program.

 

Eligibility for Deputy Director:  Everyone who works with Umran Green School is considered as a potential candidate for the position of the Deputy Director of the School. 

People who are eligible to apply for the board of the schools are as follows:

1- The candidate must have been working for Umran for a minimum of one year in management. Directorship will be rotational if there will be an eligible candidate to hold the position.   

Coordinator of Umran Green School: Coordinator of the school is equivalent to Deputy Director. Coordinator will be in charge of Preparation of the curriculum along with the Board members and the academic staff\ hiring new teachers as per the requirement,   and leading the department along with colleagues. The Board of Members shall provide the Coordinator with support whenever the Coordinator needs. It might be in terms of teacher’s requirement or guidance, advice and suggestions. Coordinator will also take care of the developing content of, videos or posts on the department’s web page, organise programs, talks or any activities for the language learners’ community, promoting and leading the department along with colleagues, communication with other schools, organisations, embassies and other potential sources for sponsorship, collaboration, encouraging peace, harmony, promotion of language, culture and prosperity through the Language Program. Coordinator is eligible to appoint staff to execute the tasks and serve as a bridge in their communication with the directors.  HoDs will be under the coordinator. Coordinator will do HoDs meetings only in presence of the Director or pointed by him/her. He/she  will do the regular meetings with teachers or staff of Umran Green School. The Deputy Director must be serving Umran Green School for a minimum of one year and maximum of two years once holding the position. 

Eligibility for the Coordinator: Everyone who works with Umran Green School is considered as a potential for the position of the Director of the School. 

People who are eligible to apply for the board of the schools are as follows:

1- The candidate must have been working for Umran for a minimum of one year in management.

Coordinatorship will be rotational if there will be an eligible candidate to hold the position.  

Intern/Main Teacher/Substitute Teacher/Teacher Certificate

There are two types of teaching based in our program: paid primary  instructor and  substitute instructors. Substitute instructors will not be compensated, but if the primary instructor breaks the organisation’s discipline or quits for any reason in the middle of the project, substitute teachers will take over and the fee will be given to them. To become the main teacher, you must have at least one year of experience or be a native speaker. The candidates chosen for the teaching internship must work for six months under the supervision of the primary (supervisor) teacher. The supervisor will test them after six months. If the intern passes the test, a six-month teaching assignment will be assigned to him or her. If they successfully complete this year, they will be certified as teachers by Umran Green School and will be able to teach as a main teacher with Umran in the future.

Head of the Department of Individual School: 

Every school will have HoD. HoD will have certain responsibilities, like conducting Language Exams along with their fellow staff teachers, providing the list of the students, syllabus, curriculum and working materials, check whether exams are done on time or not and deal  with the concern of their staff members. 

Eligibility for HoD:  Everyone who works with Umran Green School is considered as a potential candidate for the position of the HoD.  

People who are eligible to apply for the position of the HoD of the schools are as follows:

1- Those who have served Umran for two semesters as a teacher. 

HoD will be appointed for a minimum one year after that HoD might be changed if there will be another eligible candidate. Thus, like other posts, the teacher positions will be rotational as well.

Benefits:

  1. Each school will be responsible for its own budget. Any donations, government grants, or sponsors made to a certain school will be transferred into the respective school’s account. The budget  will be allocated and used by the head of the school and each action done in this regard will be approved first by the Director or Deputy Director and followed up by the Coordinators. Every budget related action  will be self-contained from other school initiatives as well as UGPF (main). For each school, a separate donation link has been developed.
  2. The HOD will be in charge of allocating that money to the department’s growth.
  3. The HOD may also use the money to help the academic members.
  4. The HOD has the authority to appoint new staff as needed.
  5. The decentralised structure will provide more freedom in work and support the growth of UMRAN and its endeavours,
  6. Staff members are allowed to seek funding and sponsors for their own departments.
  7. The school will be organising different events, talks or workshops with the purpose of advertisement.
  8. An HOD will be appointed for a year on a rotating basis. The department’s qualified applicants or academic staff will be offered the chance to become the HOD.
  9. An applicant must submit an application to be considered for the position of HOD. If more than one individual is qualified for the position of HOD, the committee will choose one of the applicants by a random drawing.
  10. Your profile will be posted on the UMRAN website, demonstrating your international experience.
  11. UMRAN will also allow you to improve your academic, managerial, and leadership abilities.

Roles and responsibilities of the Head of the Department:

  1. Preparation of the curriculum along with the academic staff.
  2. Hiring of new teachers as per the requirement.
  3. Promoting and leading the department along with the other colleagues.
  4. This responsibility will be given to the HoD for one year after which UMRAN will provide the HoD with a letter of recommendation, certificate and award.
  5. UMRAN shall provide the HoD with support whenever the HoD needs it, in terms of teacher’s requirement or guidance, advice and suggestions.
  6. Development of content, videos or posts on your department’s web page for organising programs, talks or any activities for the language learners’ community.
  7. Communication with other schools, organisations, embassies and other potential sources for sponsorship, collaboration, encouraging peace, harmony, promotion of language, culture and prosperity through the Language Program.

Rewards:

  1. The School of Language will honour the teachers and the department at the end of each semester with awards as such:  the Best Teacher Award, Best Head of Department Award, and Best Department Award and other.
  2. This award will be granted based on predetermined criteria that will be discussed in the teachers meeting. The award ceremony will be held in the presence of prominent academics, CEOs, Ambassadors, and administrators.
  3. Awards will be given to the students of the department for their performance, presentation and active participation in cultural programs.

*There will be three weeks of vacation after each semester. During the vacation Umran will organise speaking and fun classes depending on the situation and requirement.
